After four impressive years on the Dow High varsity basketball squad, Taylor Mantyla has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career for the Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals. She and her family celebrated the signing with school administrators Tuesday morning at Dow High. Read→

Reservations are now being accepted for the Midland Area All Pro Dad\’s Day to be held Sat. April 12 at the Northwood University Hach Athletic Center. All Pro Dad\’s Day is a monthly gathering of fathers and their children with the purpose of growing closer to each other while enjoying breakfast and participating in activities. Read→

Trenton\’s defense and speed proved too much Saturday as the Trojans took advantage of a tired Midland High hockey team to score three second period goals on its way to a 3-0 victory over the Chemics in the Division 2 state championship at Compuware Sports Arena in Plymouth. Read→

The Midland High hockey team advanced to its second state finals in program history Thursday, defeating Farmington 2-1 in the Division 2 semifinal at Compuware Arena in Plymouth. The Midland High hockey team overcame a poor special teams performance and a late two goal deficit against Davison Tuesday to send the game to overtime where Nate Scurfield lit the lamp for his second goal of the night to give the Chemics a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory over the Cardinals in the quarterfinals of the District 2 hockey tournament at the Dow Event Center.
