Despite having to juggle a lineup due to injuries and varsity call-ups, the Midland Dow junior varsity softball team was able to dominate visiting Arthur Hill Monday and take the opener 18-0 before a 14-4 romp in the nightcap to sweep the doubleheader. Read→

After four impressive years on the Dow High varsity basketball squad, Taylor Mantyla has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career for the Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals. After losing to Marquette 4-3 in the day’s opening contest, Dow High rattled off a pair of impressive victories to reach the championship game where they defeated Midland High 1-0 to win the 2008 Chemical City Softball Classic at the Redcoat Softball Complex in Midland. Read→
