The Midland Dow junior varsity girl\'s basketball team hosted Bay City Central Thursday, December 11 and thrashed the Wolves in its 61-24 win. Sarah Arent led the Chargers with 14 points and 9 rebounds, while Jessica Gable had 12 points. Taylor Thurston finished with 11 points and eight boards for Dow. The Chemics were led by Alex Kerlin who finished with 14 points, while Megan Babcock finished with 13. After trailing 21-6 at the half, the Midland High junior varsity girl\’s basketball team staged a furious comeback against visiting Bay City Central, pulling to within one with only seconds remaining. As time was about to expire, Russell Mikayla received a pass in the block and banked her shot up and in for what appeared to be the game-winner. However, an offensive foul was called negating the basket as the Wolves held on for the 35-34 victory. Read→
The Midland Chemics varsity volleyball team swept visiting Heritage 25-17, 25-10, 25-17 to pick up a win and improve their record to 10-0 in league play for a third straight year.
