The Dow High girl\’s basketball program continued its proud tradition Wednesday when senior standouts Jessica Schroll and Leah Kebler signed national letters of intent to continue their basketball careers at Iowa State and Ferris State, respectively. Read→

Offensive stars Andrew Maxwell, Charlie Leffingwell, and Drew Moulton led Midland\'s eight all-league selections, while Michael Albrecht picked up First Team Defense and League MVP honors. Three Chargers were awarded with offensive lineman Thomas Gable receiving First Team honors. Read→
Meridian employed a suffocating defense Friday, scoring two defensive touchdowns to lead the Mustangs to a 34-7 win over Tawas in the opening round of the Division 5 football playoffs. Jason Hockemeyer and Dakota Brodsky tied for the team lead with eight tackles apiece. Offensively, Matt Bowen finished with 147 yards on 17 carries to lead the Mustangs. Read→
The Big Ten connection was in full effect Friday at Midland Community Stadium as Spartan commit Andrew Maxwell and Northwestern-bound Drew Moulton combined for three touchdowns to lead Midland to a 42-7 win over visiting Arthur Hill in the first round of the Division 2 football playoffs. Read→
The Midland Chemics varsity volleyball team swept visiting Heritage 25-17, 25-10, 25-17 to pick up a win and improve their record to 10-0 in league play for a third straight year. The junior varsity Chargers fell in an early hole against their cross-town rival, but fought back in the second half to score 20 unanswered points and come away with a 20-10 win over Midland and cap a perfect 9-0 season. Read→
