2008 Midwest League All-Star FanFest at Dow Diamond

The 2008 All-Star FanFest is a three-day event, June 15-17. Admission to the event is free.

During the All-Star FanFest visitors can take part in a multitude of events such as live concerts, skills challenges and exhibits about our national pastime.

The FanFest will take place at Dow Diamond’s front lawn beginning on Sunday, June 15 at 11 a.m. Amongst the highlights of the FanFest:

• Kids Whiffle Ball Stadium (11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) – featuring a Kids Whiffle Ball Challenge.
• Daily Baseball Exhibits (11 .a.m – 8 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) – with displays on Negro League baseball, Women in Baseball and Midwest League History.
• Big League Baseball Challenge (11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) – with a stolen base challenge, batting practice station, Little Sluggers Zone, Speed Pitch Challenge, Fly Ball Challenge and Wild Pitch Challenge.
• Kids Zone (11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) – with inflatable games, a bounce house and slide.
• Rock Climbing Wall (11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) presented by The Rock.
• Craft hour (1-2 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) presented by the Chippewa Nature Center.
• Family Fun (5-7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday) presented by the Midland Center For the Arts.
• Free Kids Tattoos (11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) presented by the Downtown Development Authority.
• Downtown’s Biggest Fan Contest (11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday) also presented by the DDA, with a $150 gift basket drawing each day at 6 p.m.
