Cheer: Chargers’ season comes to end at regionals

The Chargers’ score of 662.452 was good for ninth place, but was unable to secure them a spot at states. Only the top two teams at regionals move on and those teams were East Kentwood (796.496) and Grandville (791.204).
Despite the season coming to an end, Dow coach Kathy Snyder was pleased with her team’s performance, especially given the talent of the competition.
“In a powerhouse region, we performed well,” she said.
Dow finishes the season with one first-place finish and four second-place finishes. The Chargers’ overall record was 29-27.
