All Star tickets sold out
March 4, 2008 at 1:56 pmThe final 500 tickets to the 2008 Midwest League All Star Game were sold Saturday morning during the Loons’ Ticketpalooza, an event held at Dow Diamond to kick off the first day of single-game ticket purchases.
“I continue to be impressed and grateful for the support shown by the community for our organization,” said Loons President and General Manager Paul Barbeau. “The 2008 All-Star Game… is going to be a tremendous event for our community and we appreciate the outstanding support shown by our fans for the event.”
Tickets are still available for the All-Star Home Run Derby, held June 16. The exhibition will feature eight of the top sluggers in the league competing in a home run hitting contest. In addition, one local high school student-athlete will be given the opportunity to compete against the eight professionals in a competition dubbed the Hometown Hitter.
Individual game tickets still remain for all 70 regular season Loons games, including opening night (April 3), 11 games with post-game fireworks shows, and special afternoon holiday games July 4 and Labor Day.
Ticket prices remain $8.50 for a reserved seat and $6.00 for lawn seating.
“It’s our goal to make 2008 even more entertaining and exciting for our fans, while continuing our tradition of providing affordable family fun,” Barbeau said.
Tickets are available anytime at Loons.com. They can also be purchased in person at Dow Diamond or by phone at 989-837-BALL weekdays from 9am – 5pm.
