The Great Lakes Loons have announced the purchase of radio station WYLZ 100.9-FM from the Last Bastion Trust. The Michigan Baseball Foundation helped finance the purchase of the station, which had previously been owned by Citadel Broadcasting. It has been rebranded ESPN 100.9-FM and will operate as an all-sports station beginning March 25, 2008. Read→
Reservations are now being accepted for the Midland Area All Pro Dad\’s Day to be held Sat. April 12 at the Northwood University Hach Athletic Center. The Midland High hockey team advanced to its second state finals in program history Thursday, defeating Farmington 2-1 in the Division 2 semifinal at Compuware Arena in Plymouth.
