Wilczek retires

Midland High head football coach Terry Wilczek is retiring after more than 35 years on the staff, including the last nine as head coach. The Chemics compiled a record of 71-28 during his tenure, including this year\’s team that finished 11-3 and made it to the state championship before falling to Detroit Martin Luther King. Read→

Loons name new manager

The Los Angeles Dodgers have named veteran minor league manager Juan Bustabad the manager of the Great Lakes Loons for the 2008 season. Bustabad’s staff will include 21-year major league veteran Danny Darwin as pitching coach. Garey Ingram returns for his second season as the Loons’ hitting coach. Read→
