Loons release 2008 schedule

Loons fans are just 196 days from opening day as the Great Lakes Loons, in conjunction with the Midwest League, have released their 2008 schedule.

The Loons will kick off the season at 7:05 p.m. April 3 against the Dayton Dragons and will finish up on Labor Day in Ft. Wayne against the Wizards.

Also on the schedule this year is the Midwest League All-Star Game, which will be held at Dow Diamond June 17. Other all-star festivities will be held on June 16.

Games Monday through Saturday will typically start at 7:05 p.m. and all Sunday games will begin at 3:05 p.m. Schedule exceptions include a Business Person’s Special July 28 at 3:05 p.m., and 3:05 p.m. games on July 4 and Labor Day. In addition, the Loons will host area schools May 6 for a special 10:35 a.m. start time.

Ticket packages to the Loons’ 2008 season are on sale now. Group outings go on sale November 1 with individual game tickets available March 1.
